Located at Khola Beach in South Goa, Dwarka Beach Resort is a clutch of ten rustic cottages set around a fresh-water lagoon, over several acres of land by the Arabian Sea. Each thatched abode overlooks an expanse of water and swaying palm trees. The hotel has its own restaurant, and guests are often found relaxing on the sands, strolling through the jungle, soaking in the crystal waters of the natural pool, or watching stars, sunsets, birds and the occasional dolphin. Besides a unique location, the hotel offers 10 thatched cottages to choose from, each overlooking the lagoon and nestled amid greenery. A restaurant serves breakfast on arrival, dinner, and cookies and tea in the evenings. Bonfires and star-gazing take place after dinner. Guests may also indulge in sunbathing, bathing in the fresh-water pool, watching sunsets from the hilltop or the beach, jungle walks and bird-watching, particularly for peacocks. A historical fort and temple are just 0.25 kms away.

Cottage Room

Each cottage boasts views of the fresh-water lagoon and the jungle. Thatched roofs and cane walls make up the basic structure, while the interiors are furnished in a contemporary manner. A couple of chairs, a table and a bed fill the room, while light cur,tains and fresh linen add a touch of home. Chairs are also kept on the porch - a thick slab of the local red stone, and small windows open onto the serene atmosphere outside. Amenities are few, but suffice those who can rough it out a bit.
