DURSHET FOREST LODGE (KHOPOLI)

The lodge sits amid 35 acres of private teak forest, against the Sahyadhri Range. The River Amba provides a haven for trekkers and birdwatchers. The gardens and lawns come alive with a natural waterfall during the monsoons. Go rafting on the River Kundalika, or scout the Umbarkhind battlefield and the Ashta Vinayak Temples of Pali and Mahad. 85kms from Mumbai, the resort has 11 rooms, 4 dormitories, 13 tents, a swimming pool, a conference room, and a common dining hall, open from 8:30am to 11:00pm.

Rooms have attached bathrooms. The common dining hall provides hot vegetarian meals, while the small swimming pool offers relaxation. Hot water is provided in the mornings on request. Valley crossing, trekking, white water rafting, rappelling, artificial rock wall climbing and a variety of indoor games are available. A non-A/C conference room is also available for the rare business guest. Alcohol is prohibited, and all-male groups are not admitted on weekends. Room service is not available.
